Role Overview:
As a part-time volunteer Accounts Assistant, you will support the financial operations of ActiveSkills Recruitment Agency. You will be responsible for raising invoices for employers and working closely with the directors to ensure smooth financial transactions and record-keeping. This role offers a great opportunity to gain practical experience in accounting and finance within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoicing:
- Prepare and issue invoices to employer clients accurately and in a timely manner.
- Track and follow up on outstanding invoices and payments.
- Financial Record-Keeping:**
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Update and manage accounts receivable and payable ledgers.
- Reporting:**
- Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for the directors.
- Provide support in financial analysis and data interpretation as needed.
- Communication:
- Liaise with employer clients regarding invoice queries and payment issues.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve any financial discrepancies.
- Administrative Support:
- Support the directors with administrative tasks related to financial operations.
- Assist in organising and maintaining financial documentation.
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in accounting and finance.
- Basic understanding of invoicing and financial record-keeping.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Previous experience in an accounting role is a plus, but not required.
